二战期间，一架B-17轰炸机在贝尔法斯特市附近坠毁。飞行员临终前委托一个当地人将一枚戒指带给他远在美国的女朋友。半个世纪过后，一个贝尔法斯特的年轻人发现了这枚戒指，在知道了戒指背后的故事后，他决定完成飞行员当初的心愿，将戒指物归原主，却发现原来飞行员的女友，已经嫁给了他最好的朋友……
